Weather -Tahoe is a lake of many moods. In the morning, it can be calm and tranquil, so smooth that you can see the ripple of a damselfly. By early afternoon, however, it can be a raging sea of whitecaps, whipped into a frenzy by powerful winds blowing through the mountains.

Safety - Water safety is paramount. All boats should be equipped with the Coast Guard approved floatation vests, a ship to shore radio or phone, and signaling devices.

Hangout - Every boater has a favorite hangout. Emerald Bay , boasting the lake's only boat-in campground as well as its only island, is probably the top choice.
National Forests belong to a variety of users. Trails are shared by hikers, horses and mountain bikes. Please use caution and courtesy when encountering another user. Enjoy your ride!
